Ethan Windy | Artist Biography

Danny White aka Ethan Windy has been entertaining with art for as long as he can remember. Academically, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art and studied Art History in Florence, Italy. At that time, White’s primary focus was in painting and drawing mediums. Then in 2007, he stumbled upon the glass world almost by chance. Needless to say, he was hooked almost instantly and from then on, glass was life.

White has found a voice with his glasswork in part by approaching his process much as he would with a painting. While emphasizing strategic color palette and visual composition, he is able to convey his intentions. The sculptural development of his characters and narrative solidify concepts and showcase personality unique to the material. 

“I focus my energy on creating work that bridges the gap between mediums using a cohesive aesthetic. My goal is to make art that creates opportunities to travel to new places and meet new people. Through this I create what I experience and enjoy telling the story.”

White currently lives and works in Seattle, WA. He maintains a private studio and gallery located in a maritime part of the city.
